In 2010 , there were 133 ha of Bornova Misketi in Turkey.
Some grape growers are located in Urla and Gaziemir district in Izmir province and Güney plateau in Denizli province. In the Turkish wine market dry and sweet Misket wines are present.

Misket from Güney, Denizli
Wines made from Bornova Misketi has floral, honey , rose, apricot aromas. As sweet wine it can age in oak barrel. Wine is very fresh, has medium plus to high acidity and long finish depends on vineyard location. If vineyard is in Güney that wine will be fresh and floral because of the altitude and cool nights. If grapes growers located in Gaziemir, that Muscat wine will show low acidity profile and short finish.
I am going to taste different wines from different wineries and share with you in next weeks.
Cheers!
